it is a sturdy, solid and durable sewing machine. Start sewing straight out of the box; the accessories supplied include 13 various feet for everyday sewing, crafting, quilting to dressmaking. In the machine lid is a handy stitch chart which lists with each stitch the machine settings plus recommended foot for the type of stitch. A built-in needle threader allows you to quickly and simply thread the needle.

With the easy-to-use bobbin winder, pre-wind some of the 8 bobbins supplied with this machine with your everyday thread colours. Other features include LED light, thread cutter on side of machine left of needle, foot pressure adjustment dial, 18 stitches + 1-step buttonhole, drop feed function, spare spool pin for twin needle stitching, 2 packs of assorted needles and a hard machine cover. This is a very good place to have your machine serviced. My Janome is over 50 years old and was getting a bit tired and needed attention. Bob has given it new life,it is as good as new now. The service was prompt and the staff in the shop were friendly knowledgeable. The staff go above and beyond with their service. They took the time to teach me some basics on using the Janome FD216 and helped so much, in regards to the transportation of the machine. You can easily see how knowledgeable they are and the care they have for sewing. Lots of information can be found on the website and also over the phone.
