8- piece feed dog. Means improved feeding sytstem.

Improved presser foot.

Better visibility of upper blade for improved fabric cutting.

Expanded needle drop position guides on front of presser foot.

Smooth feeding.

Improvement of roll hem stitching. Under foot changes to prevent fabric slippage.
Overlock fine to medium fabrics without changing tensions.

Improved Stitching on light weight fabrics using 3 threads or 4 threads.

Improved differential feed performance on stretch fabrics.

Also improved Bi-Level sewing on heavy fabrics when stitching on 2 levels of denim over a seamed area of 6 layers and back to 2 layers.

Bi-Level feeding improvement when Stitching 4-7 layers of heavy weight fabric such as Denim.

Upper knife release knob sits further left of the lower knife adjusting dial making it easier to move upper knife position.

Slide in thread pre-tension on overlocker top cover.

Hanenite Rubber feet. A variation Suppression rubber with excellent shock absorption .

It absorbs the energy and is very durable compared to normal rubber.

This is a very good place to have your machine serviced. My Janome is over 50 years old and was getting a bit tired and needed attention. Bob has given it new life,it is as good as new now. The service was prompt and the staff in the shop were friendly knowledgeable. Thank you Bob, a good job done.I would also like to commend the staff in the shop, particularly Olivia , who were very ,kind and helpful to me when I tripped and fell outside the shop . The staff go above and beyond with their service. They took the time to teach me some basics on using the Janome FD216 and helped so much, in regards to the transportation of the machine. You can easily see how knowledgeable they are and the care they have for sewing. Lots of information can be found on the website and also over the phone. Very kind service and great prices, would recommend!
