Choose from a large variety of stitches which include stitches for basic sewing, decorative stitching, lettering and more.

Buttonholes are sewn in one easy step. Simply place the button in your buttonhole foot and the machine sews a buttonhole perfectly sized for your chosen button, delivering consistent results.

Lighting on both sides of the needle provides a clear view of the sewing area.
Exclusive Drop and sew bobbin system
Place the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, guide the thread around the thread guides and you’re ready to sew. There is no need to draw up the bobbin thread.
SwiftSmart threading system
Guide the thread through the groove directly down to the needle and then use the needle threader to easily thread the needle eye.
Knee lifter
With the knee lifter, simply raise and lower the machine’s presser foot while keeping both hands on your project.
Programmable needle up/down
Set the needle’s stopping position as desired. Press to have the needle stop down in the fabric each time you stop sewing, great for applique, topstitching and more.
Twin needle function
This function reduces the stitch width for sewing with a twin needle so the needle will always clear the presser foot while sewing.
13 Needle positions
Easily adjust the position as you require for various sewing techniques such as topstitching, edgestitching and more.
Adjustable stitch length
Customise the appearance of a stitch by increasing or decreasing the distance between stitches. Use this feature for techniques like applique, basting and more.
Adjustable stitch width (7mm)
The stitch width left to right is adjustable, to make your selected stitch narrower or wider as required.
Self adjusting tension system
Select your stitch with the turn of the dial, and the machine will automaticlaly adjust the tensions for your selected stitch.
Presser foot sensor
If an attempt to start sewing and the presser foot is not in the down position, the machine will beep to alert you to lower the presser foot, before you can commence sewing.

This is a very good place to have your machine serviced. My Janome is over 50 years old and was getting a bit tired and needed attention. Bob has given it new life,it is as good as new now. The service was prompt and the staff in the shop were friendly knowledgeable. The staff go above and beyond with their service. They took the time to teach me some basics on using the Janome FD216 and helped so much, in regards to the transportation of the machine. You can easily see how knowledgeable they are and the care they have for sewing. Lots of information can be found on the website and also over the phone.
